2013 Beneteau GRAN TURISMO 38 38GT GT38

Rare opportunity on the Great Lakes. 2013 Beneteau 38 Gran Turismo. Owner reluctantly offers his gorgeous yacht for sale as plans have changed. For the uninitiated the 38 GT is a "Ferrari" on water. She's powered by twin Volvo turbo charged diesel stern drives controlled by a joystick for docking. Wide open she makes 300 horse power and 40 mph burning about 30 gph. The patented "Airstep Hull" makes the GT ride like no other. If you are bored by the standard ho-hum choices of today....take a look at the Beneteau 38 Gran Turismo. 

The 48" teak extended swim platform shares the same real teak that runs through the cockpit. Ample seating fills the cockpit with room for 14. The table folds in half when less surface is needed and drops down to seat height to make a large lounge when not needed. This boat has transom canvas only with easily removed panels. Everything forward of the transom is glass or fiberglass. One of the favorite features of this model is the giant sunroof above the helm. The helm offers a double seat at the boats centerline helm, and a stand along companion seat to the STBD. The center helm along with the large one piece windshield offers its Captain unparralled, unobstructed view forward. This is something more manufacturers should consider as underway it can't be beat. Manual sidewindows open in the cockpit, which along with the massive sunroof really make the space feel like outdoor space when you want it to, and also convert back to interior space in seconds if you hit bad weather or once you are done for the day. If you do hit in climate weather this boat is nicely equipped with full electronics including radar, large chart plotter display, VHFradio, Flir nightvision, and Kahlenburg horns.

Cockpit headroom is just over 78" and there is a flat screen TV mounted on the STBD side. 

This vessel is currently in indoor heated winter storage in Milwaukee, WI where it has been stored every winter. This is a one owner boat although it did spend its first few months on the West coast before being sent to Lake Michigan, that short, initial exposure is nothing to worry about for you fresh water boaters. Upgrades include flatscreens in the salon and cockpit, underwater lights a large, bow sunpad that pops up as two chaise lounges for the sun worshiper's delight.

 
The 38 GT has two private staterooms complete with their own doors and one spacious head. The full beam mid-ship stateroom converts from two singles to one double depending on the need. 

This vessel is equipped with Joystick controlled twin Volvo Penta stern drives. You can dock this boat in the tightest of slips with two fingers. The Air Step hull gives a incredible ride and the best fuel efficiency out there, don't take my word for it. Spend some time on google or you tube and you will be amazed. House power needs are handled by a diesel Cummins Onan Generator.
